This old and much respected firm have been serving the community for over 60 years, being established here in Penrith, Cumbria in 1945. It is still very much a family business with Peter and his wife Eileen being your first point of contact.
Tynefield House, built in 1804, is a beautiful Georgian mansion with plentiful parking. It is situated on Bridge Lane (A6 road) on the southern approaches to Penrith town centre. Here you will find a quiet and relaxing atmosphere and are invited to call at any time to discuss your requirements, any worries you may have, or even just to meet us and look around.
It may be your first encounter with bereavement and your mind will be awash with many seemingly unsolvable problems. In this respect we can be of great help – we are here to give support and hopefully sort out all your problems, making things a little more bearable.
We are on call 365 days a year. Our service to you starts when you contact us and often extends way beyond the day of the funeral. We will meet you at your convenience, either at your home or here at Tynefield House.
All our dealings with you are strictly confidential and if you are of limited means – please tell us at the outset so that we may advise you on the most cost effective method (see our economy funeral).
The only task we are unable to complete for you is to register the death with the Registrar where the death occurred, this needs to be done by making an appointment at the relevant office (see local offices below)
